ASU Students Win Heroes Of The Storm College Videogame Competition

A team from Arizona State University has scored the top prize in the Heroes of the Storm Collegiate Championships--free tuition for the rest of their college careers-- as part of a video gaming tournament which was shown on ESPNU, ESPN3, and online. ASU's 'Real Dream Team' won 3-0 against UT-Arlington to win the top prize in the 2016 Heroes of the Storm collegiate championships at the CenturyLink Event Center in Seattle. eSports video game tournaments are a fast rising part of the sporting and competition market, with viewership on many events exceeding more traditional sports tournaments. A competing, eSports tournament--the League of Legends--passed up the NBA Finals in terms of worldwide viewers back in 2014.
