Louisville, Colorado-based bandwidth provider Zayo said this week that it has signed a deal to acquire First Telecom Services, a provider of bandwidth infrastructure services in the northeastern and midwestern United States. Zayo said it would pay $110M for First Telecom Services, which has a network of over 8,000 route miles and approximately 500 on-net buildings. First Telecom's major markets are Pennsylvania and Ohio. Zayo said it would fund the purchase from cash on hand.
