Zayo Bandwidth Links New York, Chicago
Louisville, Colorado-based Zayo Bandwidth said this week that it has deployed a new, low latency fiber network between New York and Chicago. The provider of bandwidth said that the new link was deployed in order to support customers in the financial sector, as part of those customer's requirement to support algorithmic trading efforts. Zayo said that the support for financial transaction and algorithmic trading platforms are aimed at global banks, financial/commodity exchanges, market data providers, hedge funds and others in the market, and link up several key locations in New York and Chicago.
