VerbalizeIt Raises $1.5M

VerbalizeIt, a startup out of Boulder's TechStars accelerator, is the latest firm to score a round of venture funding after participation in the program. VerbalizeIT said today that it has raised $1.5M in a private equity funding, which came from a consortium of angel investors. The firm was part of the Summer 2012 class of TechStars Boulder, and provides a service offering up crowd-source, human translations, via phone, Skype, web browser, or a software API. The firm, headed by Ryan Frankel, did not disclose the name of the investors in the round. VerbalizeIt currently supports live translation between English and Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, French, German, Spanish and Hindi. VerbalizeIt is based in New York. More information »
