The Stage Fund Expands With West Coast Office
Denver-based The Stage Fund, a investment and acquisition firm focused on acquiring turnaround companies, has set up a West Coast office, tapping a turnaround veteran to head up its new efforts. According to The Stage Fund, it has named Dan Tamkin, as a new Managing Partner in Los Angeles, to head up its West Coast expansion. Tamkin is the prior Chief Technology Officer at Transdev, a $10 billion transportation conglomerate, and was founder and CEO Unified Dispatch, and also serves as mentor at Techstars's Mobility startup accelerator in Detroit. The Stage Fund is led by Daniel Frydenlund, and says it seeks to acquire controlling interests in companies undergoing change in capital structure, strategy, operations or growth and can benefit from its operational and capital approach.
