Boulder-based startup TextUs.Biz said this morning that it has launched a new, iPad-based app which can serve as a "receptionist" for businesses. The company said its iPad app can be set up by companies to use an iPad tablet--instead of a real, life, receptionist--in their front lobby, to handle on signing in visitors and letting employees know when visitors have arrived. TextUs.Biz, founded by Ted Guggenheim, Andrew Kimmell and Mike Hickman, develops text messaging-based apps for iOS, including a text messaging app for businesses. TextUs.Biz said its new product costs $999 plus a monthly to month service plan.
