Tendril Nets $30M

Boulder-based Tendril, a developer of wireless sensors, and being applied to the energy efficiency space, announced this morning that it has raised $30M in a Series C funding round. according to Tendril, the funding was led by VantagePoint Venture Partners, and also included Good Energies, RRE Ventures, and Vista Ventures. The firm said the funding will allow the company to scale to meet increased demand for the firm's Tendril Residential Energy Ecosystem (TREE) offering, which addresses the smart metering and energy management industry. Access Venture Partners and Appian Ventures, prior investors in the firm, were not included in the round. The funding brings the company's total raised to around $47M. More information »
