TekVet Taps IBM For Lifestock Tracking
Salt Lake City, Utah-based TekVet, which is developing technology to use RFID to track beef and dairy products, said Thursday that it will tap IBM technology for its data center. TekVet will use IBM System x servers to host its services. TekVet is developing a livestock tracking system that uses RFID and satellite to allow cattle producers to monitor the temperature and other animal information for cattle herds. TekVet said that it is currently focusing on Latin America and Asia for expansion of its services.
