    Move Networks Trumpets Growth

    American Fork, Utah-based Move Networks, which provides high definition video streaming services and related software, said today that the firm streamed more than 100 million hours of high definition content in 2008. The firm said it delivered its technology to 55 million unique viewers in 2008, up from 25 million in 2007. Move Networks provides high definition streaming of video to major broadcasters, including Fox, ABC, the CW, and Discovery. The firm attributed the growth to its streaming of 60 percent of the most popular television shows, and 11 of the top 20 primtetime TV shows. Move Networks is venture backed by Benchmark Capital, Cisco, Comcast Interactive Media, Televisa, Steamboat Ventures (the venture capital arm of Walt Disney Co.), and Hummer Winblad Venture Partners.
