Ancestry.com Taps eBay For Product VP

The Generations Network, parent company of genealogy-oriented Web site Ancestry.com, reported Thursday that it has hired Eric Shoup as vice president of product for its Ancestry.com business unit. The Provo, Utah-based company said Shoup will work out of its San Francisco office as he leads the product management and user interface design teams for Ancestry.com. The Generations Network described Shoup as a product marketing and general management veteran who most recently spent five years with online auctioneer eBay, ultimately rising to general manager of eBay's Stores and ProStores business units.
