    Utah Technology Council Honors Two

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Utah Technology Council (UTC), the industry organization promoting the science and technology industry in Utah, said today that it will honor Dr. Theodore H. Stanley and H. Raymond Bingham at the firm's annual "Hall of Fame" awards dinner. The UTC's event honors individuals with ties to Utah, who have contributed to the state's information technology and life science industries. Dr. Stanley is the co-founder of eight life sciences companies, including Zars and Anesta, and is a professor at the University of Utah's Department of Anesthesiology. Anesta went public in 1994 and was sold to Cephalon in 2000. Bingham is a managing director at private equity firm General Atlantic; he currently co-heads the firm's Palo Alto office. Bingham has also previously served at Cadence Design Systems, and is a director of Oracle Corporation, Flextronics International Ltd. and STMicroelectronics NV. Bingham went to Weber State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree; he also received an honorary doctorate of Humanities from the school.
