    Verio Teams With Japanese Firm

    Centennial, Colorado-based Verio said this week that it has teamed with a Japanese firm, NTT Plala Inc., to offer its hosting services to the small and home business segment. According to Verio, NTT Plala Inc. will migrate over 95 percent of its small and home business users from its existing platform to Verio's shared hosting platform. Financial impact of the deal were not disclosed. Verio said that NTT Plala is a major Japanese internet service provider, serving 2.56 million customers. The deal also covers some of NTT Plala's business users moving to Verio's Virtual Private Server (VPS) offerings.
