Liberty Media Buys Online Party Retailer Englewood, Colorado-based Liberty Media said Thursday afternoon that it is acquiring Celebrate Express, a Kirkland, Washington-based online retailer of party supplies and costumes. The firms said that Liberty will pay $31M in cash, or $3.90 per share of Celebrate in the deal. Celebrate will become part of Liberty Interactive Group. Liberty media said that it will combine Celebrate Express with its BUYSEASONS Internet costume and party retailer, which it bought in 2006. Celebrate Express also markets supplies under the brands Birthday Express, 1st Wishes and Costume Express. posted on Thursday, June 26, 2008
