Omniture Gets Patent
Orem, Utah-based Omniture said today that the firm has received a new patent for its technology. According to the firm, it received U.S. Patent Number 7,383,334, a patent covering testing and analytics used in its platform. The firm said the patent brings the company's portfolio up to 173 U.S. and foreign issued patents and patent applications pending. According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark office, the patent was granted June 3rd, and covers "Comparison of website visitation data sets generated from using different navigation tools." Inventors on the patent include Catherine Jen Wong, Christopher Reid Error, and Brett Michael Error. The patent was filed by the firm in July of 2006 by law firm Fenwick & West LLP.
