Micron Foundation Awards $150K in Scholarships
The Micron Technology Foundation Inc., the charitable, non-profit arm of computer manufacturer Micron Technology Inc., revealed Monday that it has awarded a total of $150,000 in college scholarships to six high school students in Idaho, Utah and Virginia. Two students from each state were selected, and each student will receive a total of $25,000. The foundation said the money will be distributed during the next four years through the Micron Science and Technology Scholars program, which was established to recognize students for superior academic and leadership skills and to encourage their pursuit of high technology careers. Micron is headquartered in Boise, Idaho.
