![]() Friday, May 9, 2008 Cleantech Market Grows In Q1 Ernst and Young and Dow Jones VentureOne are reporting that clean technology investments nationwide increased in Q1 of the year, and were up 18% to $571.6M. The firms said the segment saw continued growth, despite an overall drop in the VC markets. Investments were up from the $483.9M invested in the same period in 2007. According to the report, the largest portion of the cleantech investments went to alternative fuels, where $178M was invested int he quarter. Energy/Electricity Generation received $148.3M, and Energy Efficiency $116.4M for the period. posted on Friday, May 9, 2008
