PakSense, YottaMark Co-Develop New Smart Label

PakSense Inc., a manufacturer of "smart" packaging materials for the shipment of perishable goods, revealed Monday that it and YottaMark have co-developed a time and temperature smart label that will provide growers, shippers and retailers with several key tracking features. Specifically, PakSense said the new device, which is slated for a third-quarter launch, will support instant trace back, trace forward and integrated cold-chain monitoring at the unit level. This information, PakSense explained, will be available via an online portal. PakSense added that the new label will feature YottaMark's HarvestMark hosted traceability solution, which allows for instant deployment and secure tracking. Founded in 2004, PakSense is headquartered in Boise, Idaho.
