    ViaWest Acquires Texas-Based Dataside
Denver-based collocation and managed services provider ViaWest announced Tuesday that it has acquired Dataside, a Dallas-based supplier of data center infrastructure and managed network services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. ViaWest, which already maintains data centers in Colorado, Utah and Oregon, said the Dataside purchase will expand its service footprint to include locations in Texas and Nevada. Specifically, ViaWest gains four enterprise-class facilities in the Dallas area and additional data centers in Austin, Texas; Plano, Texas; and Las Vegas. ViaWest noted that it plans to upgrade and expand the facilities in Austin, Dallas and Las Vegas and that it will also introduce additional managed services at those locations throughout this year and next.
