SkyeTek, Atmel Link On RFID Security

Westminster, Colorado-based SkyeTek, a developer of RFID reader technology, said today that the firm has shipped a new joint solution with Atmel. The firm said that its is shipping a RFID demonstration kit for the security market which includes both the firm's M2 RFID modules and Atmel's cryptographic RF tags. The firm is targeting developers of contactless payment, product authentication, patient safety, and patron management systems with the kit. SkyeTek's hardware is used by companies for developing RFID applications; secure RFID tags are used in applications where companies are looking to avoid counterfeiting, cloning, and changing of RFID information.
