 Wednesday, November 14, 2007 Plasmon Installs Murphy as CEO, Director Plasmon reported Tuesday that it has appointed Steven Murphy chief executive officer. Plasmon said Murphy, whose hiring is effective immediately, will also serve on the company's board of directors. Though its worldwide headquarters are located in Cambridge, England, Plasmon said Murphy will be based at the company's U.S. headquarters in Broomfield, Colo. There, Plasmon added, he will supervise the rollout of the company's Archive Appliance Solution. Murphy hails from Softek, where, as president and CEO, he guided the management buyout of Softek from Fujitsu Ltd. to its recent merger with IBM. Prior to founding Softek, Murphy was president of Amdahl Software Inc. and held various executive roles within the enterprise software and telecommunications industries.
