    JDSU Completes Acquisition Of PicoLight

    Milpitas-based JDSU said Tuesday afternoon that it has completed its acquisition of Louisville, Colorado-based Picolight. Picolight is a manufacturer and designer of optical pluggable transceivers based on vertical cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs). The deal was originally announced in February and was worth $125M in cash and stock. Picolight was venture backed by Charles River Ventures, Coral Capital Management, Investor Growth Capital Ltd., ORIX Venture Finance, Scale Ventures, and Vesbridge Partners.
