    Avail Media Gets $17M

    Avail Media, a provider of IPTV and other services to broadband operators, said Tuesday that it has raised $17M in a venture capital round. The Reston, Virginia-company was formed in December with the merger of Kalispell, Montana-based Auroras Entertainment and Broadstream Communications. The round was led by Novak Biddle Venture Partners and Columbia Capital. Pioneer Venture Partners, LLC and Benaroya Capital Co. also particpated in the roudn. Avail Media operates software development and other engineering from its Kalispell offices.
