Simplicita, Yahoo! Team Up On Web Navigation

Denver, Colorado-based developer Simplicita and Web search giant Yahoo! have agreed to furnish Internet service providers with an automated browsing system that will help avoid the complications that often result from mistyping a Web address, Simplicita reported Monday. The application, called Simplicita NXD, will replace common browsing mistakes and known phishing Web sites with Yahoo! paid and algorithmic search results. NXD operates by redirecting users from undesired error messages and potentially malicious Web sites when they request a non-existent domain or mistype a Web address. The service will be subscriber configurable, which means end users will be able to set personal preferences or opt out entirely.
