    Zia Laser Acquired By German Firm

    Albuquerque, New Mexico-based Zia Laser, a manufacturer of semiconductor lasers, has been acquired by a German firm. NL Nanosemiconductor, based in Dortmund, Germany, said today that it has acquired Zia Laser, but did not disclose financial terms of the deal. Zia Laser is a spinout of the Center for High Technology Materials at the University of New Mexico, and is funded by Prism Venture Partners, RWI Ventures, Harris and Harris Group and Venrock Associates. Zia was advised by Bowen Advisors in the deal.
