    Verio Targets Podcasting

Centennial, Colorado-based hosting and Internet Service Provider Verio is targeting the podcasting market with a new tool, saying today that it has rolled out a hosted podcast tool to help small businesses host podcasts. Verio said that its new tool allows customers to set up and managed RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds for podcasts, and to help manage posting of audio and videofiles. Podcasting is a popular way to publish audio and video files on the Internet, allowing consumers to download audio and video content to PCs and devices such as Apple's popular iPod device. Verio's Podcast file manager helps manage RSS feeds and podcast content, allowing users to attach recorded audio and video files to an RSS feed. The new tool is a part of Verio's existing shared hosting services.
