    Opengear Introduces Security Systems
    West Jordan, Utah-based Opengear today released a new line of secure device servers, used for controlling Ethernet and serial port devices. The company said today that it has released its Secure Device Server line, targeted at utilities, refineries, processing plants, and health clinics with such equipment as meters, SCADA appliances, PLCs and sensors. The new products allow users to access those legacy devices remotely VNC, HTTP, or a telnet connection. The new secure device servers can be accessed via dial-up, the internet, or through a local network or serial connection.
