    Revinetix Gets City Win

    Salt Lake City-based Revinetix said today that it has signed on the City of Georgetown, Texas as a customer of its disk-based recovery appliance. Revinetix said that the city is using its solution for Linux, Netware, and Windows backup. Georgetown is using its Sentio 4400 backup appliance for its servers as part of a disaster recovery solution for more thatn 1TB of data. The device is backing up police computer-aided dispatch (CAD), 911 call recording, building door security, and other city services. Revinetix sells an appliance-based disk backup device that includes backup software, RAID, and hot swappable ATA drives.
