Home movie network Starz Entertainment LLC revealed yesterday that it has signed a co-marketing agreement with semiconductor manufacturer Advanced Micro Devices to promote a new subscription movie and video download service. Starz explained that the partnership will grant users who purchase select AMD products one free month of Vongo, a subscription service that provides streaming access to more than 2,500 movie and video selections. Starz said the promotion will expire Sept. 9 and is only available to new Vongo customers who purchase qualifying AMD processors, motherboards or ATI Radeon graphics cards. Regular subscriptions cost $9.99 per month. Starz Entertainment is an operating unit of Starz LLC and is headquartered in Englewood, Colo.
