Boulder-based sovrn Holdings--the online ad network better known under its former name, Lijit--said today that it has scored a key certification on ad quality under the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB). Sovrn said that it now meeds the IAB's Quality Assurance Guidelines Program (QAG 2.0), a certification which covers "network hygiene" and brand safety. Those certification efforts are aimed at ensuring that advertisers are only being placed on the websites which meet their requirements and are "brand safe". Sovrn said the certification involved rigorous training, audit, and compliance requirements.
