Sorenson Media, which develops video encoding and decoding software, in addition to running its own content delivery network, said earlier this week that all of its products have already been optimized for Apple's iPad device. The firm said all of its products have been compatible with the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch since June of 2009, and that it has supported all of Apple's platforms at no extra charge. The firm did not detail what optimization steps were taken with the software, but said that other providers have only promised support "in the future" for the iPad. Sorenson's engineering operations are in Salt Lake City.
