Sorenson Media, the developer of video transcoding and encoding software, said this morning that it has debuted a new version of its Sorenson Squeeze Server product, its high volume, enterprise video transcoding and encoding software. The company said version 2.0 of the package significantly improves performance, and streamlines encoding and transcoding tasks. The company said it has redesigned the user interface for the software, now provides a REST API, and also is designed to work in the public or private cloud. Sorenson Media has development operations in Salt Lake City.
