Bozeman, Montana-based RightNow Technologies has upgraded the firm's hosted customer service relationship management software. The firm announced today RightNow 8, a new version of its sales, marketing, and enterprise service tool. The new version of its service will be available in December, and includes new feedback measurement features, a graphical workflow engine for designing processes, report and analytical features, along with vertically tailored solutions. Among the enhancements to the hosted web service are customized government- and business- workflows which incorporate what RightNow says are industry-specific best practices, processes, and workflows. RightNow provides a software-as-a-service used for managing customer service, sales, and marketing, and competes against Salesforce.com in the CRM segment.
