Qwest Upgrades Internet Service
Denver-based Qwest Communications has upgraded its high speed Internet services, saying this morning it has rolled out VDSL2 broadband technology, which will give its customers 40 Mbps downstream and 20 Mbps upstream service. According to Qwest, it is rolling out the new technology in Denver, Tucson, Salt Lake City, and Minneapolis/St. Paul, and will expand those services to other markets in New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Washington in coming months. The firm has also rolled out a number of pricing packages dependent on downstream and upstream access rates, with the top 40Mbps downstream/20Mbps upstream plans starting at $109.99 a month in conjunction with home phone service.
