ProStor: Tandberg Reaches 100,000 RDX Docks
Boulder, Colorado-based ProStor Systems, which develops removable disk technology for the data storage market, said today that Tandberg Data has shipped more than 100,000 RDX docks. Tandberg licenses Prostor's RDX technology, which it sells to PC server OEMs and through its own brand. Prostor's RDX removable disk storage technology is a hard-disk-based format targeted at replacing tape backup systems. ProStor said the ship volume represents more than 40 petabytes of removable disk cartridges. Tandberg has been shipping RDX-based products for the last two years.
