Prescient Raises $3M

Denver, Colorado-based Prescient, a startup developing pre-built buildling structures and systems to replace wood, concrete, and other framing options, said today that it has raised $3M in a funding round, part of an ongoing $10M fundraising effort by the company. The company said the funding will help bring a new, manufacturing facility online in 2014 in Houston. The company is developing pre-built components used to quickly build structures up to 12 stories in height, which it says are faster, better, greener, and cheaper than existing options. The company said it is backed by Kanusul Investments Pte. Ltd., a private equity fund based in Singapore. More information »
