Precog Debuts On MongoDB
Boulder-based data warehousing and analytics software developer Precog said today that it has rolled out its product on MongoDB, a NOSQL database which is being used by such companies as foursquare, eBay, and Disney. Precog--which is headed by John De Goes and backed by RTP Ventures, Resonant Venture Partners, David Cohen, and others--said the release allows users of MongoDB to perform advanced analytics and statistics, and build big data analytics features into their applications using their existing MongoDB databases. Precog is one of the firms out of the TechStars accelerator program, and is looking to make it easier to develop applications which use "big data" to add personalization and other features using data gathered about cusotmers and users.
