Ping Expands Web Services
Denver, Colorado-based Ping Identity has rolled out a new expansion of its web services software for single-sign on. The company's PingFederate Integration Kit adds support for both Windows Kerberos authentication scheme and Oracle/Oblix COREid. PingFederate provides single sign-on support for identifying users across applications, including Windows Login, Java, .NET, CA eTrust SiteMinder, and Salesforce.com. Single sign-on allows a single username/password to be used for accessing a wide range of web applications, instead of requiring individual usernames/passwords for each application. Ping is backed by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Fidelity Ventures, and General Catalyst Partners.
