Picolight Shows 10G Transceiver
Louisville, Colorado-based Picolight said today that the firm has demonstrated a 10GBASE-LRM SFP+ transceiver, used for the IEEE 802.3aq optical interface standard. The new transceivers are part of a new generation of products being designed for 10G Ethernet communications network. Picolight is a designer and manufacturer of optical transcievers and components, key components used in optical networking. The new transceivers fit the Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP+) design, and operate at 1310 nanometers.
