Boulder Colorado-based Peak Data said this week that it has named a general manager to head up a new unit focused on storage consolidation and migration. The firm said that its new Value Recovery Services Business Unit will help enterprise computing customers realize the hidden value in their storage media assets. The new group will focus on migration of data from older, lower capacity media to new storage, and data consolidation for better efficiency. CarrieAnne Curtis has been named GM of the unit. Peak is a value added reseller of storage systems.
