Fort Collins-based OtterBox, the manufacturer of protective cases and other accessories for the mobile device and electronics market, said today that it is expanding, and plans to open up a new facility in Frederick, Colorado, by the end of the month. The firm--pointing to growth at the firm--said the new facility will have 200,000 square feet of space, with about 183,000 of that for distribution space, and the rest for office space. OtterBox said it expects its new location will house around 150 employees, when it's at capacity. The new distribution facility will come on top of its existing, 75,000 square foot distribution center in Fort Collins. OtterBox says is now employs more than 500 in Fort Collins.
