Orem, Utah-based web analytics software firm Omniture reported Monday that nearly two-thirds of the top 50 online retailers and almost half of the top 500 are using its Web marketing solutions. Citing Internet Retailer magazine's "2008 Internet Retailer Top 500" list, Omniture said that it can claim 74 percent of the top 50 online retailers among its customers and 48 percent of the top 500. The firm said it has over 5,200 customers, including eBay, AOL, Wal-Mart, Gannett, Microsoft, Neiman Marcus, Oracle, General Motors, Sony and Hewlett-Packard. Omniture competes against such firms as WebTrends, Coremetrics, WebSideStory, Google, and others in the web analytics market.
