Business optimization software publisher Omniture Inc. revealed Wednesday that its SiteCatalyst application has become the Web analytics tool of choice for many of the world's leading professional sports leagues. Omniture said it has active partnerships with several North American-based organizations, including Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, the National Basketball Association, the National Football League and the National Hockey League. Omniture added that it is also measuring fan participation for England's Premier League and Germany's Spox.com. The financial impact of Omniture's various sports partnerships was not disclosed. Omniture is headquartered in Orem, Utah.
