Salt Lake City-based Omniture announced today that it is in a strategic partnership with Experian, a provider of credit scores and other consumer data. According to Omniture, Experian will make its consumer data--including demographics, financial and lifestyle information--within Omniture's SiteCatalyst tool. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. Experian is a major provider of both credit scores and other, consumer demographic information to companies. Omniture said that, among other efforts, it will use the data from Experian to help its customers to increase return visits, cross-sell, an up-sell products to their existing clients, and also increase acquisition efforts for those people that match a firm's existing client demographics. The deal also makes Experian Marketing Services a provider of consulting services for Omniture's Test&Target tool.
