NewsGator Expands Efforts In Asia
Denver-based NewsGator is starting to eye the ASian market, saying yetserday that it has launched a new effort to expand in the region, including hiring an executive in Singapore. The firm said that it has been seeing lots of interest from customers in the Asia-Pacific region, including law firm allens Arthur Robinson, Bank of New Zealand, Coca Cola Amatil, and the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. As part of the effort, the firm said it has tapped Cuneyt Uysal to head its efforts in its Singapore office; Uysal had previously served at Sitecore, Open Text, and RedDot Solutions. NewsGator's enterprise social networking software is used in conjunction with Microsoft SharePoint to allow employees to collaborate, share internal blogs and comments, and provide other social features within a company.
