MyHeritage Updates Mobile App

Provo-based MyHeritage, the online family history and networking site backed by Accel Partners and Index Ventures, said Thursday that it has updates its mobile application. The application runs on iPhone, Android, and iPad. According to Myheritage, the updated app now includes access to the recently released 1940 U.S. federal census, ability to search more than 22 million family trees, along with other features. In particular, MyHeritage said it is using the technology it acquired from Provo-based FamilyLink to power the family history search engine in the app. MyHeritage--which also has operations in Israel--has been ramping its operations in Utah since the purchase of FamilyLink in November of last year.
