CasaTunes Links Into Sonos Speakers
If you can't beat them, join them. Ft. Collins, Colorado-based whole home music streaming system make CasaTunes said today that it has integrated its product with competing whole-home streaming music competitor Sonos. According to CasaTunes, it now supports SONOS Connect devices and SONOS speakers as part of its product. CasaTunes said the new integration make it easy to expand existing multi-room audio systems by adding one or more SONOS speakers. These speakers, which are automatically discovered by CasaTunes, are then seamlessly integrated into the CasaTunes whole house audio solution, according to the company. Beyond the speaker support, it's unclear how much the two systems--which typically would compete against each other--work together.
