Sarcos Robotics Wins Another Contract With USAF
Salt Lake City- and Bellevue, Washington-based robotic exoskeleton developer Sarcos Robotics says it has received a second development contract from the United States Air Force. According to Sarcos, the second contract covers development of full-body exoskeleton robots capable of lifting up to 200 pound loads, with specific use cases relevant to Air Force logistics applications. Sarcos had signed an earlier contract with the USAF on exoskeleton robots for lifting smaller loads of up to 80 pounds. Financial details of the new award were not announced by Sarcos Robotics.
