Foundry Group Invests $25M In Xometry
Boulder-based venture investor Foundry Group has led a $25M investment in Gaithersburg, Maryland-based Xometry, a developer of technology for "manufacturing on demand", Xometry said this week. The investment came as part of an acquisition of Foundry Group portfolio company MakeTime, which also provides on-demand manufacturing. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. According to Xometry, the funding was led by Foundry Group, and also included Almaz Capital, BMW i Ventures, GE Ventures, Highland Capital Partners and Maryland Venture Fund. Xometry has now raised $63M in total.
