Uber Abandons Self Driving Car Testing In Arizona
On-demand ride provider Uber is abandoning its efforts to test its self driving cars in Arizona, just a little over two months after one of its cars killed a woman in Tempe. According to the Wall Street Journal, citing an internal membe from Uber executive Eric Meyhofer, Uber will no longer test its vehicles in Arizona, and has laid off 300 of its "test drivers" in Arizona. Uber had already suspended testing after that fatal crash.
