Zayo Buys Optic Zoo Networks
Boulder-based bandwidth and colocation provider Zayo has acquired Canadian fiber network owner Optic Zoo Networks, in a deal worth nearly $25M, Zayo said on Friday morning. According to Zayo, it paid CAD $31M (approximately $24.88M US) for Optic Zoo, which owns and oeprates a high-capacity, fiber network in Vancounver, Canada. According to Zayo, the acquisition will add dense, high-count fiber to its network in the Vancouver, British Columbia area, adding 103 route miles and more than 100 "on-net" buildings in Vancouver.
